Daft Punk costume

A friend and I built a Daft Punk costume for Halloween. We 3D-printed, glued, sanded, epoxied, bondo-ed, and spray painted, and made our own vacuum former for the visor. I also tried to build a vocoder into it.

Finished, on the night.

We started from models we found online. After printing came the finishing: gluing the sections together, coating them in epoxy and body filler, and sanding.

For the visor, we built our own vacuum former out of two sheets of plywood to melt and form sheets of plastic.

I also tried to build a vocoder into the helmet, with breadboards as voice filters. It broke before Halloween.

One or two sentences: what you'd do differently next time.
